The Schaumburg Library and the League of Women Voters of the Palatine Area continue the Civic Awareness Series with a panel discussion about EDI (Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion) in politics and policies.
Pride Celebration

Join us for a family Pride celebration! In honor of LGBTQ+ Pride Month, we will have music, crafts, informational resources, giveaways and more to celebrate love, equality and embracing who you are. Libraries are for everyone. Come show your Pride and join us in supporting and celebrating our beautifully diverse community.
Hybrid: Stories from Chicago's LGBTQ Past

Join us for this talk on pivotal moments in Chicago's LGBTQ history covering culture, social life, community-building and activism. These Chicago stories will not only tell us about local history but will also open a larger picture of change across the 20th century.
Teen DIY: Painting with Pride - 12-19 years

Show your Pride through painting a unique canvas sign to decorate any space! We will be joined by a representative from Youth Outlook who will share information about the history of Pride and facilitate an affirming discussion while we create.
