Get creative using equipment in the Digital Studio to record and edit your audio and video projects.

First time using the Digital Studio? We can help you learn how to use the equipment! When requesting a reservation check the box for staff assistance and let us know what you are working on. If you already know your way around the Digital Studio, Schaumburg Library cardholders can request a reservation for the studio using our online room reservation system. SD cards rated Class 10 or higher are required (UHS-1 or faster preferred). SD cards are available for checkout from the Library of Things collection. Questions? Email: studio@stdl.org.

Ages

The Digital Studio is available for Schaumburg Library card holders ages 12 and up. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Time Limit

The Digital Recording room is available for up to two hours per person, per day. The Editing rooms are available for up to four hours per person, per day. Reservation requests may be made up to two weeks in advance. Reservation will be cancelled if a group does not show up within 15 minutes of the scheduled time. Please request at least three days in advance if you need assistance.

Use

Personal information stored on the computer will be deleted during log off. Schaumburg Library will not be responsible for any damage to a user's property while used in conjunction with Library equipment. The person reserving the room is responsible for any damage to equipment, report all problems to staff immediately.
