Get ready to stir your imagination and set the mood for Halloween with our first Schaumburg Library Two-Sentence Scary Story Contest! Craft a chilling, goosebump-inducing tale in just two sentences (300 characters max) and submit it to spook us.

Winners for each age category will be picked on Monday, October 28th.

Rules:

The contest kicks off on Monday, September 30th, and is open to any writers aged 5 and up. Submit your stories by Sunday, October 27th, 2024 either in person at the library or through this form. Entries must be previously unpublished. Submissions that do not follow the two-sentence will be disqualified. Content should be suitable for general audiences—no explicit or mature themes allowed. Subject matter must be appropriate for display in the library and on library social media or website. Limited to 2 entries per person. All submissions must be proofread for spelling and grammar before entering.
