The Producers (2021)

by Inc Kino Lorber

Springtime has never been funnier. It's "a disaster, a catastrophe, an outrage!" — Beth, Access Services

The Tea Dragon Society (2017)

by Katie O'Neill

This beautifully illustrated graphic novel kicks off in spring and features the most adorable little dragons. Reading The Tea Dragon Society would be a delightful way to celebrate the much-needed return of the spring season. — Allison, Youth Services

Dangerous Girls (2013)

by Abigail Haas

A fun trip to Aruba for spring break turns deadly. I STILL think about this thriller even though I read it several years ago. — Allison, Youth Services

Field of Dreams (2019)

by Gordon Company

Opening day is coming soon! What’s the best movie to watch to celebrate this long-awaited day? Field of Dreams! Kevin Costner plays an Iowa farmer who hears a voice in his dream to turn his cornfield into a ballpark! Definitely a must-watch for baseball fans! — Dina, Fiction, Movies & Music

10 Things I Hate About You (2010)

by Touchstone Pictures

What’s better than spring sports, prom, graduation and HEATH LEDGER? 10 Things I Hate About You is a Shakespeare inspired rom-com classic with Julia Stiles who plays the older sister of Bianca, who cannot date without her sister having a boyfriend first. It has a dynamic cast that has so many nostalgic moments that made me remember the fun times I had in high school and at prom! — Dina, Fiction, Movies & Music

Big Fish (2004)

by Columbia TriStar Home Entertainment

When I think of spring movies, my mind immediately goes to the beautiful daffodil field in Tim Burton’s Big Fish. The movie is based on the book by Daniel Wallace about an ailing father trying to connect and reconcile with son through fantastical anecdotes. It has a great cast with Ewan McGregor, Albert Finney and Jessica Lange. — Dina, Fiction, Movies & Music

The Art of Fielding (2011)

by Chad Harbach

Spring means baseball and my hands-down favorite baseball-related book is The Art of Fielding by Chad Harbach. Although the title sounds like a how-to manual, it's really a novel about a small college's star player Henry Skrimshander and how one bad throw upends not only his life, but the lives of those around him. — Sarah, Digital Services

Honeybee : the Busy Life of Apis Mellifera (2020)

by Candace Fleming

This boldly illustrated picture book shares the life cycle of honeybees told from the perspective of a honeybee! The factual information is presented in a way that is accessible to a wide audience, and it is a fun way to jump into the life of one of spring's most active critters. — Abbey, Youth Services
