Good Salespeople Make Good Fund Raisers
The New York Times bestseller To Sell is Human: the Surprising Truth about Moving Others, by Daniel Pink, is featured in the April 25 issue of the Chronicle of Philanthropy as a tool for fundraisers seeking to make better connections with donors. Pink’s book is full of humorous stories and surprises, such as his assertion that extroverts aren’t necessarily the best salespeople. He recommends asking questions, listening, taking the other’s perspective, and focusing on problem finding, not problem solving. Available at STDL at call number: New Nonfiction/658.85/PINK
