Today’s Deadline for Forms W-2 and 1099

For employees and independent contractors, January 31st marks an important deadline.

Employers are required to mail out Form W-2s to employees and businesses need to furnish Form 1099 statements reporting, among other things, non-employee compensation, bank interest, dividends, and distributions from a retirement plan.
