Sprint to Add 750 Jobs in Chicagoland

Sprint plans to add 750 jobs throughout Chicago by the end of 2016 on top of the 300 jobs in Chicago it committed to in March.

In March, Sprint said it expected to invest $45 million in network infrastructure in line with plans to make Chicago its first city upgraded to an LTE Advanced network, which would allow for high-speed mobile downloads. On Tuesday, it revised its estimate to $150 million over the next two years in Chicago.

The latest jobs will include positions for retail workers, wireless experts and network technicians and engineers. Sprint currently has 800 employees and more than 160 stores across Chicagoland.
